CHICOPEE – Julie Nails salon is now open for business at 347 Chicopee St.
The salon offers manicures, pedicures, UV gel, acrylics, waxing and massages.
Currently the hours of operations are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“It’s like a spa,” Co-owner Julie Naranjo said.
This is Julie’s first business and she said she is happy and thrilled to open her new place in Chicopee, along with the support of the rest of her family.
She added that she was also happy with the legislation that came out to support the business at the grand opening.
Naranjo said, “We were very happy to have everyone here. I thank everyone who showed up, especially the mayor for being here and taking the time out of everyone’s busy schedule to share this moment.”
Julie’s daughter, Domenica Chavez, is also a co-owner who said she is looking forward to welcoming everyone into the salon.
Chavez also talked about how grateful she is to open and run the business with her family.
“Thank you, mom, for everything and thank you everyone for coming. We are open and excited to welcome the community to our place,” she said.
Mayor John Vieau was at the grand opening and welcomed the family to the business community.
Vieau said, “I want to welcome you to Chicopee as the mayor and I also want to wish many years of good health, success and prosperity in your business. I hope you are here for a very long time, and we are excited for this opportunity for you, and we really do live in the land of opportunity. This is a testament of that.”
