HOLYOKE — The Greater Holyoke YMCA announced the opening of its new Personal Training Studio powered by Marcotte Ford, a dedicated space designed to help members take their fitness journey to the next level through customized, one-on-one support in a welcoming and motivating environment.

Thanks to a partnership between Marcotte Ford and the Greater Holyoke YMCA, the studio is in alignment with the Holyoke YMCA’s mission of helping all in the greater Holyoke community achieve their fullest potential in spirit, mind and body.

The Greater Holyoke YMCA Personal Training Studio powered by Marcotte Ford was introduced to the community with a grand opening event on May 21.

Holyoke YMCA CEO Conor Bevan said around 50 people attended the grand opening, including the Marcotte Ford team, family and Filomeno family.

“It was wonderful,” Bevan said about the grand opening, “We displayed a state-of-the-art personal training studio that does not exist in our community.”

Thanks to a generous contribution from Marcotte Ford and Ford Philanthropy, Greater Holyoke YMCA opened a new Personal Training Studio, inclusive of a 3D body image scanner, personal health consultation, and one-on-one and small group training program.

For specific goal setting, Greater Holyoke YMCA is one of the only wellness centers in the region with a 3D body image scanner giving individuals more than two dozen metabolic data points.

Throughout the entire grand opening day, over 100 people took part in a free 3D body image scan.

The training studio has been open for a month and Bevan said they already have had “tons of members and nonmembers joining into personal training.”

The Greater Holyoke YMCA has hired personal trainers, and the intimate program will help individuals stay in shape, whether they are new to exercising or tired of the same routine.

The room is designed for one-on-one and one-on-four training, and everyone involved in personal training gets a free 3D body image scan to evaluate their progress overtime.

Bevan talked about the training studio being open to everyone. He said, “I think the important thing to highlight is this personal training studio is more everyone, for all. What’s really important is it could be for someone that’s recovering from an injury, it could be someone that is having a chronic disease prevention, it could be someone that has a fitness or wellness goal. It is for all ages and for all purposes.”

For readers looking to utilize the training studio, they can visit holyokeymca.org or the Greater Holyoke YMCA at 171 Pine St.

Holyoke Marcotte Ford President Mike Marcotte discussed the partnership with the Greater Holyoke YMCA and helping provide a place for residents to work on their mental and physical goals.

He said, “We’re proud to partner with the Holyoke YMCA to create an all-new personal training studio. Our mission has always been to support healthier, stronger communities, and this project is a perfect example of that commitment in action. Together, we’re supporting community well being and promoting healthier lifestyles.”

Bevan shared his appreciation for this transformational contribution, “We are beyond grateful to Marcotte Ford, Marcotte Family and Filomeno family. When they say, we got your back, this investment helps every person within our community reach their fullest potential. Their commitment to our community’s health and wellness is unwavering and we are beyond that they’ve allowed us to launch such a high quality experience for everyone in our community.”
