HOLYOKE — The Greater Holyoke Chamber recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome Urban Co-Works, the city’s newest coworking space provider, to the Holyoke business community at 98 Westfield Rd.

Urban Co-Works, a leading provider of innovative and flexible co-working spaces, has officially expanded its presence with this state-of-the-art facility. This is Urban Co-Works’ third location with the other two being in Scranton, Pennsylvania and Schenectady, New York.

Urban Co-Works’ CEO Jeff Goronkin said the building used to be an existing co-working space and the former owner wanted to retire. Urban Co-Works bought the building and rebranded the space.

The concept of co-working is to offer affordable and flexible solutions for companies or people to work, according to Goronkin.
The company’s new Holyoke location aims to support professionals, entrepreneurs and small businesses by providing a creative and collaborative environment tailored to their needs.

Goronkin expressed his enthusiasm about bringing the company’s signature coworking concept to Holyoke.

He said, “We want to be a hub for business development, networking and professional events. Urban Co-Works has always been passionate about building strong communities, and we’re excited to bring that energy to Holyoke.”

The facility has modern amenities, including private offices, meeting rooms, community workspaces, free copying and printing, coffee, internet and a kitchen.

For more information or pricing, readers can visit urbancoworks.com/holyoke.

Readers can book a tour of the facility, buy a day pass or sign up for a monthly membership. Goronkin said people can also book meeting rooms by the hour.

Urban Co-Works brings new energy and professional leadership to a space now reimagined for maximum potential, adding value to Holyoke’s business community.

Besides being a former co-working space, Goronkin talked about why this location posed a great opportunity for Urban Co-Works.

He explained, “That particular location is right off of [Interstate 91] and it’s right by all of the retail in the Holyoke area with the shopping mall, there’s a Barnes & Noble across the street, lots of restaurants. It’s a great gathering space for companies that may want to use our conference rooms, but it’s also a great place to work because there’s so many conveniences right there in that area.”

The Greater Holyoke Chamber proudly welcomed Urban Co-Works as a new member and an engine of growth within the city’s dynamic professional ecosystem.

“This ribbon cutting celebration is more than a business launch,” Greater Holyoke Chamber Interim Director Lisa Totz said, “It reflects Holyoke’s ongoing economic growth and the power of innovative partnerships. Urban Co-Works is set to become a key contributor to collaboration, innovation and success for businesses and entrepreneurs in our community.”

Goronkin said Urban Co-Works will be hosting networking events in the future and reach out to the colleges to offer their space for entrepreneurship and professional development events.

“We want to be that kind of center of gravity for professional community and play an active role in things that are going on within Holyoke. That’s what we’ve done in our other locations and it’s really worked out well for us. We have a great space and it’s great for hosting different kind of events,” Goronkin said.
