Barstool Sports Founder Dave Portnoy talks to owner Aurora McGreevy after giving his pizza review.

CHICOPEE — Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, also known for his “One-Bite” pizza reviews, visited Aurora’s Pizzeria in Chicopee to try a slice.
Portnoy visited Aurora’s, located at 1720 Westover Rd., on a hot, sunny day on July 2.
Although many bystanders watched and cheered including a fan interrupting to take a selfie, Portnoy stood in front of Aurora’s to try and rate the cheese pizza.
In his video he said, “I knew walking in, I said this is Greek style, it is Greek style. It kind of looks like a Chicago, except a little bit thicker.”
He tried what he called a “great corner slice,” and after his first bite, said it was “softish” compared to his preference of a crispy pizza.
“I’m in a good mood,” Portnoy joked before giving the pizza a 7.1 out of 10.
Aurora’s Pizzeria owner Aurora McGreevy talked with Reminder Publishing about Portnoy stopping in and giving his pizza review.
She said although she did not know who he was or that he was coming before he stopped by, she thought the overall experience was “good.”
McGreevy said one of her employees told her who Portnoy was after he was served his pizza. Her grandson also follows Portnoy on social media, and she became familiar with his reviews after the fact.
Many pizza places that Portnoy visits and reviews across the country have seen their business increase due to fans wanting to try the pizza and give their own review.
Business has increased a little bit, according to McGreevy, who said a few new people have visited Auroara’s asking about Portnoy’s recent visit.

Aurora’s is closed on Mondays, but open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 4-9 p.m.
