CHESTER — The Southern Hilltowns Adult Education Center will offer a free class for small business owners on how to prepare the Small Business Schedule C form with Certified Public Accountant Rosemarie Goyette.
The class will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m., with a snow date of Saturday, Jan. 24, in SHAEC’s Chester classroom at the Village Enterprise Center, 26 Main Street, Chester.
Intended for self-employed individuals, sole proprietors and independent contractors who receive Form 1099-NEC, the class will cover step by step how to fill out the Federal Form Schedule C income and expenses; the form on which revenue, expenses and deductions for tax purposes are reported. Other pertinent forms required when filing taxes as a sole proprietorship will be discussed as well.
Rosemarie Goyette is an accountant with over 30 years of experience in bookkeeping, and taxation, business operations, and streamlining accounting and best practices.
