LUDLOW — Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club’s Day for Kids is taking place Sept. 21 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Sponsored by LUSO Federal Credit Union and Country Bank, this free event will be filled with yard games, face painters, an inflatable obstacle course, crafts, music and much more.
Day for Kids is an annual event that is overseen by the Boys & Girls Club of America. They pick the day in which all clubs are encouraged to hold events that celebrate children and adults coming together to spend some meaningful time enjoying the club’s resources through play and fun.
Director of Programs Jodie Lambeau at Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club said, “We’re always hoping the event grows because we want to reach as much people as we can. Day for Kids is focused on bringing our families together. We’re giving them a place to interact with their children and peers and be able to see what the Club has to offer for our youth.”
The Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club is an organization focused on health & wellness. The public can register for membership to the Community Center, which is open to all ages. It also provides athletic programming which does not require membership for participation. The Boys & Girls Club hosts a year-round licensed preschool program as well as School-Age programming with licensed before- and after-school programs and the Summer Fun program.
Lambeau said, “We want people to be here and know that we have resources and opportunities for them to engage with us and to engage with different activities that promote health & wellness.”
She continued, “We really want folks to have a great time at the event. I think the overarching goal is just fun. We want your feedback, and we want to see your smiling faces.”
