ENFIELD — Get ready for some good grooves at Powder Hollow Brewery’s first Fall Music Fest which will take place on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 504 Hazard Ave. from 1-5 p.m.

The fest will feature musicians Liz Reed, Bill Ludwig, Kevin Salley and Terri LaChance. Enjoy treats from AmyCakes Baked Goods who will be making homemade soft pretzel bites with a hot honey maple compound butter, triple chocolate parfaits and apple pie cupcakes. Explore the tropical and exotic houseplants from Winton Botanicals and jewelry from Serenity Threads.

Powder Hollow Brewery is the first brewery in Enfield and are getting ready to celebrate its 10th anniversary in November. Marketing and Events Manager and Taproom Manager Kenzie Frangiamore said, “I’ve always loved the idea of having some sort of festival where you can come spend the afternoon at the brewery. It’s a great way for people to enjoy a lot of music.”

She went on to say, “I’m hoping it intrigues people and bring them in our community out that might have not wanted to come to the brewery otherwise and show them that we’re not just a brewery. We have all sorts of incredible events for everybody.”

Frangiamore told Reminder Publishing that Reed came into the brewery a couple of months ago and talked about these end of summer events. She would get together with a group of her musician friends, they would play music and do a donation for an organization in the community.

“I thought that’s exactly what I’ve been wanting to do at the brewery, and we went from there,” Frangiamore said. “Liz invited three of her musician friends to play in the festival and I was able to reach out to a couple of vendors that I have worked with in the past, so we’ll have tents set up and vendors selling goods.”

Reed added, “I’m hoping for great weather, so we can perform outside. Powder Hollow has a beautiful patio area. My musical style is a combination of influences such as Ani DiFranco and Joni Mitchell, with a little bit of my own whimsy and sarcasm thrown in. My favorite part about performing is interacting with the audience, so I’m looking forward to a really fun afternoon.”

During the Fall Music Fest, Powder Hollow Brewery will be collecting donations for Feral Cats of East Windsor. Anyone that brings a donation will receive a voucher to use at the brewery and R Dee Winery as a thank you. “We’re not just a bar. We’re a place that people can come to. It’s for the community,” Frangiamore said. “See what we have to offer. Come, have a good time, bring a chair if you want and just enjoy live music. This fest is a great way to bring the community together and help support a variety of different businesses within our communities.”
