Parade of Lights shined on Russell on Dec. 14

CHESTER — Students at Chester Elementary School were excited to eat their vegetables at school lunch before Thanksgiving, said Vanna Maffuccio, their school principal.
HUNTINGTON — Some hunters checking their deer at the weigh station in the parking lot of 22 E. Main St. outside of B&D’s the first week of shotgun season were surprised to meet MassWildlife technician Kalina Flood of Worthington at the scale in place of stewardship biologist Jacob Morris-Siegel, who manned the station for the past 16 years.
RUSSELL — The popular Russell Parade of Lights featuring area fire and police departments and vehicles of every kind, is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14. The parade has been a local draw since 2000.
As the weather turned nippier and Christmas began coming into view, the Toy for Joy campaign gained two important contributions — but still needs more.
CHESTER — On Nov. 22, David Pierce, president of the Chester Foundation, brought the Chester Railway Station and its history, in the form of a G Scale train set, to Chester Elementary School.
