


Gray Catbird Pottery Studio expands art class offerings
HUNTINGTON — This summer, Dale Rogers, owner of the Gray Catbird Gift Shop and Pottery Studio on 22 East Main St. is expanding art class offerings beyond pottery, with some of the 63 artists and artisans featured in the gift shop offering their talents to the public with step-by-step instruction.

HUNTINGTON — Gateway Regional Superintendent Kristen Smidy announced this week that she has accepted a position as an associate director at the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the recognized accrediting body for schools and colleges in New England.

Districts meet with education secretary
NORTHAMPTON — Massachusetts Education Secretary and interim Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Commissioner Dr. Patrick Tutwiler visited Northampton High School on May 27 to meet and hear from the students and representatives from several Western Mass. districts about their concerns on proper school funding.
