PALMER — The town of Palmer is now considering various options for a permanent ambulance service for the community since the abrupt departure of Palmer Ambulance Service at the end of October.
WARE — On Nov. 21, a special ribbon cutting event took place to celebrate the grand opening of Pineapple Express, a cannabis home delivery company, in the parking lot of Phillips Plaza in Ware on West Street.
PALMER — The Palmer Historical and Cultural Center will host its 12th annual Christmas Tree and Wreath Festival on Dec. 6 from 4-7:30 p.m., Dec. 7-8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Dec. 14-15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
PALMER — Palmer hosted its annual Veterans Day parade and ceremony, marching from Amvets Post 74 in Three Rivers down Main Street to Hryniewicz Park in a procession that included local veterans, Boys and Girl Scouts, the Palmer High School band and local public safety personnel and vehicles.
SPRINGFIELD — Thousands of area school children had the opportunity to see the Springfield Thunderbirds play their annual School Day Game with a 10:30 a.m. puck drop on Nov. 6.
The morning after the Nov. 5 election, while control of the U.S. House of Representatives was still in the air, the outcome in Massachusetts’ First Congressional District was clear. U.S. Rep. Richard Neal (D-Springfield) won a 19th term, his sixth representing the westernmost district in the state.
