PALMER — Ben Hood and Anne Miller of Citizens for a Palmer Rail Stop have announced to the group’s members the likelihood of Palmer receiving a new rail platform are “increasingly likely” with a public meeting in the fall that will share the results of the site location and design analysis and seek public input.
National Night Out is a community-building campaign that is run all over the country promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. It is typically hosted on the first Tuesday of the month of August.
PALMER — The Palmer Town Council met to discuss several key issues impacting the community on July 8. One of the primary topics was Resolution 2025-01, which proposed using American Rescue Plan Act funds to purchase a 2025 Western Star 10-wheeled dump/plow truck for the DPW for $349,289.

PALMER — The Palmer Town Council met to amend minor clerical errors in the FY25 budget records on June 27.
PALMER — Voters turned out at the June 11 town election to elect Christopher Pelletier to an at-large seat on the Town Council. Pelletier eked out a win, receiving 356 votes against candidate Lucas McDiarmid’s 326 votes. John Comerford rounded out the race, having 144 people cast their ballot for them.
