WESTFIELD — The Westfield Athenaeum is once again asking Westfield residents to “take a trip down memory lane” to help the library identify photographs of the city and surrounding areas in its collection.

EAST LONGMEADOW — The East Longmeadow School Committee reviewed the search process for the School Department’s new director of student support services at its Aug. 19 meeting, following Michael Fredette’s formal resignation.

HAMPDEN — The Hampden Planning Board officially recommended a six-month moratorium of battery energy storage systems at its Aug. 14 meeting.
LONGMEADOW — Members of the Middle School Building Committee hosted a meeting for the abutters of Williams Middle School on Aug. 15. The property at 410 Williams St. has been selected by the committee as the preferred location for the town’s future combined middle school. About 40 people attended the meeting, nearly all of whom were opposed to the project being built at the site.
