EAST LONGMEADOW — The East Longmeadow Town Council was joined by Director of Municipal Finance and Town Accountant Kimberly Collins to discuss the town’s high level budget forecast and what spending in the town will look like through 2032 during the council’s meeting on Feb. 24.
HAMPDEN — At the Hampden Selectboard meeting on Feb. 17, discussion continued on the regional agreement for governing the schools in the Hampden-Wilbraham Region School District and recent changes made.
CHICOPEE — A mayor’s order totaling $69,250 for a new walk-in cooler and a permanent pad for the freezer at the Chicopee Country Club golf course sparked much debate during the Feb. 17 City Council meeting.
SOUTHWICK — In a motion made by the town to answer a lawsuit filed against it by Southwick Care LLC, it said the limited liability company didn’t exhaust all “administrative avenues” before filing the civil lawsuit in Hampden Superior Court, and therefore, should be dismissed.
WESTFIELD — Residents applauded the City Council for its vote at the Feb. 5 meeting to appropriate $270,000 from free cash for the milling and overlay of Park River Drive and Park Circle, which was taken out of order due to the large contingent in the gallery.
