SPRINGFIELD — The Indian Orchard Citizens Council and state Rep. Orlando Ramos’s office are once again hosting the third Annual Health and Wellness Fair. The fair will take place July 13, between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Myrtle Street Park in the Indian Orchard neighborhood of Springfield.
WARE — The Ware Selectboard met to address various agenda items and community updates on June 18. The meeting commenced with the announcement of Lewis Iadarola’s retirement from the Zoning Board of Appeals after 21 years of service. The board thanked him for his significant contributions.
WARE — The School Committee approved the contract for new Ware Junior Senior High School Principal Derek Morrison at its June 20 meeting.
LUDLOW — At the last meeting of her tenure with the Ludlow School Department, Director of Operations and School Business Manager Kathleen Demetrius reported that the end of fiscal year 2024 is wrapping up well, but a substantial amount of money remains unencumbered.
BELCHERTOWN — The Belchertown Select Board declared that there was not a quorum at the Jabish Brook special Town Meeting on June 24, resulting in the immediate adjoining of the meeting.
MONSON — The Monson Select Board discussed whether the town should continue to waive the rental fee for Memorial Hall at its June 25 meeting following concern from residents and the Memorial Hall Committee over the board’s decision to waive the fee previously.
