SPRINGFIELD — Considered by many to be the political event of the year in Western Massachusetts, Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi’s annual golf tournament and picnic again drew a bevy of local and state elected officials.
The state primary election is fast approaching. With that in mind, Reminder Publishing compiled a list of voting locations throughout the area as a service to its readers.
With the September state primary election closing in, local voters have several options through which they can make their voices heard, even if they can’t make it to their polling place on Election Day, Sept. 3.
When water began gushing into the newly established Quabbin Reservoir in 1939, the resulting water supply tore apart the Swift River communities in favor of providing clean, consistent water to eastern Massachusetts, according to the Department of Conservation and Recreation. The four disincorporated towns — Dana, Enfield, Greenwich and Prescott — disappeared from the map.
BELCHERTOWN — The Belchertown Cultural Council is run by a team of volunteers who strive to make Belchertown an enjoyable community by implementing arts and culture as an essential part of life in the town.
EASTHAMPTON — As part of its artist of the month exhibition, rising high school senior Kaia Couture of Belchertown is set to have her art displayed at the Sgt. James G. Wheeler Memorial Art Gallery, 122 Pleasant St., Suite 101, Easthampton.
