WEST SPRINGFIELD — Budget season is in full force in West Springfield. On April 2, the School Committee approved a $58.1 million school budget for fiscal year 2026, a $1.7 million increase from FY25.
AGAWAM — The Agawam Historical Association is organizing a Spring Flea Market on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the historic Thomas Smith House, 251 North West St., and is seeking dealers of antique, vintage and artisan items to participate.

WILBRAHAM — Earth Day is April 22 this year, but volunteers in Wilbraham will be getting an early start when the third annual Wilbraham Clean Up takes place April 12.
WILBRAHAM — The Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District sent fiscal year 2026 assessment letters to both towns ahead of their spring town meetings, when the budget will be up for a vote. In a budget season full of tough decisions, however, the School Committee still questioned whether to adjust the assessments in hopes of earning good will and avoiding an us-versus-them funding situation.
