With a couple of high-profile video game turned movie and movie turned video game releases in December, I wanted to review both. As has become clear from my previous columns, one of my biggest hobbies is gaming, so I could not pass up the opportunity to talk about two of my favorite pieces of media this year, the movie “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” and the video game “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.”

WESTFIELD — The Wyben Parade Committee is planning its first Lighted Tractor Christmas Parade on Nov. 23 at 5 p.m., the Saturday before Thanksgiving, with a Sunday, Nov. 24 rain/weather date.

CHESTER — Vanna Maffuccio, principal of Chester Elementary School, welcomed Mary Stucklen, owner of Tommy’s Compost Service in the Berkshires, to spend the day Oct. 28 with staff and students to assist them in expanding the school’s composting efforts beyond the lunchroom. The visit was funded by the BARR grant.
