AGAWAM — It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Agawam Senior Center, where scores of people were treated to the sights, sounds and experiences of the second annual Snowflake Spectacular.
Senior Center patrons ate lunch while listening to live holiday music sung by The Fort Carolers from the Student Prince Cafe and The Fort. During the event, people watched ice sculptor and artist David Barclay create a reindeer sculpture from two 300-pound blocks of ice.
Meanwhile, dozens of people climbed onto the benches of a horse-drawn carriage driven by Keith Ouelette, owner of Mainely Drafts Horse and Carriage. His daughter, Mikayla Ouelette tended to the two large Belgian draft horses — Lenny and Lady — who pulled riders around the property to experience a winter wonderland.
