Westfield Middle School principal responds to antisemitic incidents

WESTFIELD — After a swastika was found drawn on a Westfield Middle School student’s notebook on Tuesday, Jan. 28, Principal Jesse McMillan responded with a letter to the school community. He said earlier in the month, swastikas were also found drawn inside a school-issued device and on an eraser that was found on the floor.

WESTFIELD — At a special meeting on Jan. 29, the School Committee unanimously endorsed a motion to authorize Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski to complete a statement of interest to the Massachusetts School Building Authority for the replacement of Westfield Technical Academy with the option of consolidation into one high school to replace both high schools.
