HUNTINGTON — The North Hall Association’s 2026 Historic North Hall Arts Festival continues with three remaining programs in August and September on the North Hall stage.
The six-program season opened in July, and all events are on Sundays at 2 p.m. Admission is free, and donations are welcome.
North Hall, located at 40 Searle Road in Huntington, is wheelchair-accessible and air-conditioned.
On Aug. 23, “The Composer’s Voice” features original songs by Jerry Noble and Tania Coletta. The program includes poems set to music by Mary Oliver, Emily Dickinson and Rumi, as well as original poems and some surprises. There will be solos as well as ensemble singing by the quartet of Emily Baker, Kate Saik, Liam Shannon and Marc Winer performing a variety of styles, including classical and popular. Noble will accompany on the piano.
On Sept. 13, “Opera Arias & Broadway Musical Showcase” will return to North Hall. The accomplished New York City ensemble of tenor Antonio Abate, soprano Amy Orsulak, and Jerome Tan on piano will perform celebrated opera arias and Broadway musical solo and duet favorites. Their delivery will take full advantage of the North Hall stage’s acoustics.
The season will wrap up with Old Country Road’s vintage country and bluegrass on Sept. 27.
North Hall favorites, Old Country Road, return to the stage with a performance dedicated to the golden age of country music, with songs that take you back to the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, and Nashville bluegrass music of Hank Williams, Webb Pierce, Patsy Cline and Kitty Wells. Performers are Ron Jackson on rhythm guitar and vocals, Mark Leveille on mandolin and vocals, Dan Pilachowski on flat-pickin’ guitar, Dave Helman on stand-up bass and guest artist Chris Boucher on banjo.
All performances, which begin at 2 p.m., are free, and donations are welcome. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Upstairs seating is limited to the first 75 attendees. Please check the website at northhallhuntington.org for any program updates.
The North Hall Association was founded in 1900 as a community organization in Norwich Hill. Almost 100 years later, in 1999, it became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that has provided service and entertainment to the community since its founding, with a focus on education, the arts and the preservation of the historic 1795 former North School, now called North Hall.
The Historic North Hall Arts Festival is sponsored by the Westfield Bank and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, through the cultural councils of Chester, Cummington, Huntington, Middlefield, Montgomery, Russell, Westhampton and Worthington.
