CHICOPEE — City leaders and the veteran community honored Veterans Day with an annual ceremony at Veterans Memorial Plaza on Nov. 11.
The city of Springfield conducted its annual Veteran’s Day parade under sunny blue skies. The parade began at Springfield Technical Community College at 11 a.m., traveled down State Street, and then ended at City Hall where a speaking ceremony and wreath laying took place.
NORTHAMPTON — Thornes Marketplace has welcomed a new business on its second floor with The Shiny Black Door, an eclectic collectibles shop offering a highly curated selection of rare jewels, fine art and other unique collectibles.
SOUTHWICK — Residents gathered on Nov. 11 at the town’s War Memorial to honor Veterans Day and to thank the men and women who have served in the military to keep this country free with a parade and wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial.
LONGMEADOW — Five years ago, Lyn Simmons took the helm as the town manager in Longmeadow. Since then, the town has navigated the coronavirus pandemic, opened several new facilities and worked to balance the needs of the town against the state’s tax ceiling.
AGAWAM – Agawam educators gathered in the gym at the high school on Nov. 4 to show their support for AHS paraprofessional Sonya Johnson by having a photo taken of themselves wearing “Sonya Strong” T-shirts. The photo was sent to Johnson, who is battling cancer, along with the poster that was signed by everyone in the photo.
