HOLYOKE — Holyoke Rows will celebrate National Learn to Row Day 2024 on Sunday, June 1 by inviting the public for learning sessions, open kayaking sessions and exploring what the boathouse has to offer.
HOLYOKE — A group of 11th grade carpentry students from Dean Tech had the opportunity to tour the construction site at the Holyoke Veterans Home on May 23 and were joined by Holyoke Mayor Joshua Garcia to check out the progress made so far on the reconstruction project.
ENFIELD — The annual St. Jeanne Jugan Parish Carnival is back from Thursday, May 30, through Saturday, June 1, on the grounds of St. Bernard Church from 6-10 p.m.
WESTHAMPTON — The annual Town Meeting staged on May 11 drew a good crowd and accomplished a wide variety of tasks to manage the town’s accounts. Many of the 39 articles were consent articles, required on Town Meeting warrants by the commonwealth, or that enable town departments to carry out daily business.
LEVERETT — Last month at the annual Town Meeting, voters opted in favor of Article 11, which funded an assessment of Leverett’s graveyards and cemeteries for $4,500 in Community Preservation Act monies.
SOMERS — The Somers Lacrosse Association is having its 37th annual Paul Bowers Memorial Lacrosse Tournament on June 1 and 2. It’s the largest tournament in the area with 148 boys’ and girls’ teams in grades 3-8 participating this year at the Somers Educational Complex on Vision Boulevard.
