Public forum on updated Hampden Senior Center plan to be on Oct. 9

Fourth Longmeadow Pride features familiar sights, new faces
LONGMEADOW — The fourth annual Longmeadow Pride festival took place on the Town Green on Sept. 15. The crowds came out to the event, organized by the Longmeadow Pride Alliance, heard music, sampled food truck fare, played games and learned about community resources and municipal projects.

EAST LONGMEADOW — Pioneer Valley Planning Commission Senior Land Use and Environment Planner Mimi Kaplan presented the town’s draft 2024 hazard mitigation plan at the Town Council’s Sept. 10 meeting, fulfilling the required second public hearing of the draft plan.

Down syndrome walk to honor 2 moms who started group
Sue deVillier of Agawam and Laurie Houle Isham of Hampden met 25 years ago, after their youngest daughters were born with a genetic disorder called Down syndrome. Like many mothers in their situation, they were looking for information and resources.
East Longmeadow hosts vigil to remember 9/11 attacks
EAST LONGMEADOW — The East Longmeadow Fire Department hosted a candlelight vigil on Sept. 11 at the fire station to honor and remember those impacted by the terrorist attacks against the country on Sept. 11, 2001.
