SOUTHWICK — Most of those involved in the successful purchase of 10.52-acres of property on College Highway for the Southwick Historical Society gathered on March 29 at Moore Meadows, the property’s chosen name, to thank residents for supporting the purchase during Town Meeting and donors for their financial help.

SOUTHWICK — During a discussion of the Water Commissioners about mandated water restrictions that town residents must deal with each summer, one Commissioner Dave Meczywor suggested the DPW partner with a company to offer rain barrels at reduced rates for water conservation.

WESTFIELD — The Blessed Buys Thrift Shoppe recently donated a portion of its quarterly profits, $1,000, to the Kinship Fund at Westfield High School. The thrift store is a project of the First Congregational Church on 18 Broad St.
