WESTFIELD — At the end of an evening of good food, music by The Bards, camaraderie and glamour at the Tekoa Country Club on Feb. 7, 10 contestants competing in the Sons of Erin Colleen Ball took to the runway while Master of Ceremonies Bo Sullivan recounted their accomplishments. The moment then came to name the 2025 colleen and her court.
WESTFIELD — At Ghost Talks 2025, a production of the Historical Commission, 15 characters associated in some way with the American Revolution were portrayed by residents who brought them to life in four shows on Jan. 30 and 31 at the First Congregational Church.
WESTFIELD — As promised, Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski and members of the central administration team gave an update to the School Committee on Feb. 3 about the plan to move the Fort Meadow program into Munger Hill and Highland Avenue elementary schools and reconfigure the department’s preschool program.
WESTFIELD — With WMCD Inc. set to host its fourth annual 25-hour all-nighter charity fundraiser event on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1, the organization is looking for volunteers to help run different aspects of the event.
WESTFIELD — People are still talking about the Science and Engineering Fair hosted in the Westfield High School gym on Jan. 30. It was hard to not be impressed by the enthusiasm of the future scientist, engineers and artists displaying projects and theses they had spent weeks and months and sometimes several years developing. A total of 214 students participated, 66 from Westfield Technical Academy.
