EAST LONGMEADOW — U.S. Rep. Richard Neal paid a visit to the East Longmeadow Fire Department as his fourth stop on the “Landmark Laws, Local Investments” tour on Aug. 20 to showcase how federal funds are used to support town projects.
EAST LONGMEADOW — East Longmeadow students return to the classrooms on Sept. 2, but the school year will look a bit different for high schoolers as the first set of students in the new East Longmeadow High School.
LONGMEADOW — The Longmeadow Select Board reviewed renovation plans for the Richard Salter Storrs Library at its Aug. 17 meeting. Library Director Jean Maziarz said it is in “some serious need of renovations” as the building is not fully ADA-compliant and water infiltration damages continue.
WILBRAHAM — State Rep. Angelo Puppolo extended an invite to Gov. Maura Healey to visit Wilbraham’s Rick’s Place, allowing the governor to learn firsthand about the organization’s programs Aug. 19.

On the far side of the foyer is a heavy locking metal door that gives the apartment building its name: Residences at the Vault.
SPRINGFIELD — The long-awaited horticultural center at Forest Park is one step closer to becoming a reality after U.S. Rep. Richard Neal secured a federal earmark for the project.
