LONGMEADOW — Dressed in a lab coat and sporting wild white hair, Canadian arborist and educator “Professor Elwood Pricklethorn” entertained fourth graders at Blueberry Hill School while helping them grow their knowledge and love of trees.
LONGMEADOW — It is town election season and in Longmeadow, five candidates submitted papers to run for two seats on the Select Board. Since 1988, races with more than two candidates per seat require a preliminary election to be conducted to whittle down the field.

LONGMEADOW — Addressing the fallout from a 2024 change to the way water and sewer usage is billed, the Longmeadow Select Board voted on April 7 to use a combination of retained earnings, a reduction to the water operating budget and an increase in water meter rate to cover a combined $530,000 shortfall.
