EAST LONGMEADOW — People often attend community events that are organized or sponsored by the East Longmeadow Lions Club, but Lion Bob Adams said those events, often free to the public, do not come without cost. The Lions Club aims to raise $15,000 for its events and charitable contributions.
WEST SPRINGFIELD — After hearing from a half-dozen business owners at a public hearing on Feb. 19, the West Springfield Board of Health compromised on amendments to the town’s tobacco regulations that would have limited the sale of nicotine pouches, which contain nicotine-infused sodium and flavoring, to adult-only retailers and ban smoking bars in West Side.
WILBRAHAM — Unknown factors are creating complications for Wilbraham when drafting its fiscal year 2026 budget. At the Feb. 10 Select Board meeting, Town Administrator Nick Breault said he and Treasurer/Collector Barbara Hancock reviewed some of those problematic line items.
