WESTFIELD — The second session of the Parks & Recreation Department’s Summer Act Theater Group presented its culminating program after two weeks of summer camp on July 25 in the Westfield Intermediate School auditorium. Among the one-act plays performed was one written by a former camper.
RUSSELL — The Russell Public Library had a special visitor on July 22. “Blades,” the Boston Bruins Mascot and friends from the Mass. Board of Library Commissioners stopped by for their summer reading promotion, “When you read, you score!”
WESTFIELD — Despite the blazing heat on Thursday, July 24, vendors at the Farmer’s Market were cheery, and several spoke about the successful season they were having with their products.
WESTFIELD — This summer, Elm Electrical is once again offering free four-day training sessions for students interested in the electrical field and for prospective co-op students at one of three “Elm Futures” training seminars. The seminars are hosted in “Elm University,” the company’s inhouse training program.
