WESTFIELD — The Wyben Association committee is planning its second annual Lighted Tractor Parade on Nov. 22 at 5 p.m., with a weather date of Nov. 23.

Wyben is a rural and agricultural section of Westfield, and the 2024 parade, the idea of Greg Bolduc of Bolduc Farms was a success, with over 40 decorated tractors participating.

Everyone is welcome to come and watch the parade. There is limited parking along the route and also on West Road, North Road and Wyben Road. The parking area at the Chapel will be reserved for tractors.

Brian and Kathy Hartley, the 2025 parade marshals for Wyben’s Fourth of July parade, will lead the parade beginning at 5 p.m. traveling along Montgomery Road ending at the junction of Montgomery and North roads. Lighted tractors are asked to begin lining up at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 22 at the junction of Montgomery Road and West Road.

Welcomed to the parade will be illuminated tractors with working lights. Attached lighted floats are also allowed, but no persons on foot, lawn tractors or quads. Spectators are asked to stay out of the road for safety.

Decorated tractors will park in the Wyben Union Chapel parking lot at the conclusion of the parade for everyone to enjoy. There will be free hot cocoa, hot cider and homemade cookies for children and adults alike, and a special visitor may make an appearance to pass out goody bags for kids while supplies last.

As a way to give back, the Wyben committee is asking parade goers to bring new unwrapped toys for local children 12 and younger and/or gift cards for teenagers in foster care and for families in need. There will be three decorated bins located at the start of the parade, at Meadowbrook Antiques and at the Wyben Union Chapel. The committee is urging parade watchers to be as generous as possible.

Non-perishable food items will also be collected for the Westfield Food Pantry, and may be dropped off in a decorated box at the Chapel following the parade.

Harry and Anne Rock will be broadcasting the parade live for Westfield WCPC Channel 15 television. Please check in on the Wyben Association Facebook page for the most up to date details. Members of the Wyben parade committee include Bob Allen, Jim Bemis, Greg Bolduc, Crystal Bryant, Carlee Collins, Tim and Sue Crane, Kathy and Brian Hartley, Deb Hayden, Ryan Karolides (currently deployed in Africa) and Dan Puza.

Anyone interested in participating in this year’s parade may contact Bolduc at bolducfarmma@gmail.com or Brian Hartley at brianhartley00@gmail.com or check out the Wyben Association Facebook page. Organizers said it would be helpful to know in advance how many will be participating in the parade.
