EAST LONGMEADOW — St. Michael’s Knights of Columbus in East Longmeadow presented checks of $2,000 each to the Veterans’ Memorial Committee and the town’s Council on Aging. They are two of the five organizations the Knights gifted with funding recently.

East Longmeadow Public Library kicks off summer reading season
EAST LONGMEADOW — Hundreds of children were joined by their families at the East Longmeadow Public Library for the June 11 kickoff to the 2025 summer reading season. The library was filled with raffles, swag bags and activities. There was also children’s entertainment, billed as Music with Mr. Liam and Magic with Ed. The theme of this year’s summer reading is “Level Up at Your Library.”
East Longmeadow Town Council hears veterans’ memorial request, discusses move
EAST LONGMEADOW — Terry Glusko and the ad hoc East Longmeadow Veterans Memorial Committee came before the Town Council on June 11 to request $106,484 to help build a small memorial park on the front lawn of the Pleasant View Senior Center.
ELHS to replace ‘makeshift’ bleachers with $150k earmark
EAST LONGMEADOW — Football and track fans from other towns who come to East Longmeadow High School to watch their team compete will soon do so on new bleachers, thanks to a $150,000 earmark in the fiscal year 2026 state budget. The earmark was secured by state Sen. Jake Oliveira (D-Ludlow), who represents the town.

Jones, Hill and Page reelected, charter bylaw ballot question fails
EAST LONGMEADOW — The votes have been counted in the 2025 Town Election and voters in East Longmeadow chose to stay the course in the race for three Town Council seats. Councilors Kathleen Hill and Anna Jones were reelected for new three-year terms, as was Councilor Ralph Page, who was nearly unseated by candidate Carolyn Ferros.
East Longmeadow Town Council sets budget, discusses restricting private used car sales
EAST LONGMEADOW — The East Longmeadow Town Council passed a $42.42 million budget for the town and a $36.9 million budget for the schools for fiscal year 2026. At the May 27 public hearing, the body also approved $3.53 million for capital expenses and set the water and sewer fees.
