Wilbraham diver named All-American

WILBRAHAM — Minnechaug Regional High School student and Wilbraham resident Collin Purcell was one of 100 student divers named All-American for high school level boys one meter diving by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association of America.


HWRSD approves updated bullying prevention plan

WILBRAHAM — The Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School Committee approved an updated bullying prevention plan during its Sept. 4 meeting, focusing on in-school and online bullying as well as different types of bullying behavior.


Improvements on the way for Boston Road intersection

WILBRAHAM — After discussions with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Wilbraham has received confirmation that improvements to the intersection of Main Street, Maple Street and Boston Road will be included in the town’s Route 20 project, the DPW stated.

WILBRAHAM — Wilbraham Middle School hosted a book donation drive from Sept. 3-6 at the school after mold spores irrevocably damaged books and other materials in more than a dozen classrooms.

WILBRAHAM — The Wilbraham Fire Department was recently awarded $690,476 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to support the purchase of a new fire engine, the department recently announced.
