West Springfield school days to start earlier, last longer
WEST SPRINGFIELD — Kids may have to wake up a little earlier next year, after the School Committee approved a 2024-25 calendar with earlier start times for most of the town’s public schools.

Handprint tradition inspires pride, nostalgia at Mittineague
WEST SPRINGFIELD — You have to hand it to students at Mittineague Elementary School. They’ve been accomplishing great things for more than a decade, and they have handprints on the walls to prove it.
