WEST SPRINGFIELD — On Sept. 24, the Big E celebrated Massachusetts Day, an annual recognition of the Bay State at the fair. Massachusetts Day is one of several days at the fair dedicated to celebrating the New England states and local cities, culminating with a 6 p.m. parade.
