WE ARE HOMETOWN NEWS.

CHICOPEE — The holiday season is here, and with it comes the third annual Holiday Bazaar hosted by the congregation of the Faith United Methodist Church. This bazaar will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 191 Montcalm St.

The bazaar, first envisioned by former Pastor Dr. Kate Galop, started as a simple gathering centered around food and holiday treats. However, it has grown into a vibrant community event featuring an array of handmade gifts, Christmas decorations, and other treasures perfect for holiday gifting.

“It has already established a following,” said Merrilee Riopelli, administrative assistant for Faith United Methodist Church. “It quickly morphed into something more as everyone got excited to help.”

The proceeds from the bazaar will help support the church’s general fund to offset rising costs and contribute to its mission work.

Shoppers will find plenty to love, whether they’re hunting for the perfect ornament, a thoughtful hostess gift, or just a sweet treat to enjoy.

“We hope that people will come and enjoy a spirit of Christmas joy and find something they were looking for in a gift to a hostess of a party they are going to, an ornament for the tree or just a treat for themselves,” said Riopelli.

Cash is preferred for purchases, but checks will be accepted. Credit cards will not be accepted. Handicapped parking and access to the basement are available, as well as many people to help with shopping and bringing things out to cars.

For more information, please call the church at 413-533-6093.
