SPRINGFIELD — Mason Square was one of about a dozen locations in Springfield where people celebrated National Night Out, an annual tradition that promotes partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

The festivities in the Mason Square neighborhood took place at Mason Square Apartments at Indian Motorcycle. First Resource Companies, the owner of the apartment buildings, hosted the event, which included food, a DJ, a bounce house, and first responder vehicles from the Springfield Police and the Hampden County Sheriff’s departments.
