EAST LONGMEADOW — With a failed attempt to site a warehouse at 330 Chestnut St. fresh in the minds of residents, East Longmeadow Redevelopers, LLC brought a new plan for the site to the Planning Board on Sept 3.
LONGMEADOW — With a vote of 1,374-402, residents in Longmeadow chose to fund a $151.59 million combined middle school on the existing Williams Middle School campus.
CHICOPEE — During the Sept. 3 School Committee meeting, Chicopee Public Schools Maintenance Director Scott Chapdelaine provided updates on current projects, ongoing facility improvements and capital improvement priorities.
HOLYOKE — The city of Holyoke hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 2 to officially unveil the new Dr. William R. Peck Middle School to the community.
WESTFIELD — The theme of the Overdose Awareness Vigil on Aug. 28 was “Forget Me Not,” honoring those lost to overdose, but the message from the speakers directed to family members and people struggling with addiction was “You are not alone.”
