ENFIELD — The Enfield Public Schools have some summer learning opportunities for its students this year. The Enfield High School art department is running a Clay Camp for grades 2-12 between July 15-25. The music department is running two opportunities for summer learning, the Instrumental Music Summer Program for grades 6-9 and the Theater Arts Camp for grades 4- 9 from June 24 through July 18.
SOMERS — Historical treasures of all kinds from Somers and Somersville await history lovers at the Somers Historical Society Museum, which will be open on June 23 to share its collections with interested residents and inquisitive town visitors.
HAMPDEN — The Hampden Planning Board briefly discussed creating a bylaw about battery energy storage systems at its June 12 meeting.
WILBRAHAM — At its June 13 meeting, the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School Committee approved the modified program of studies for Wilbraham Middle School, following its review by the Curriculum Subcommittee.
LONGMEADOW — Longmeadow’s Planning and Select boards met on June 5 to review a draft of the town’s Long Range Plan, a document often known as a master plan, which lays out a municipality’s goals and targets for the next five to 10 years.
EAST LONGMEADOW — The Flying Sparticles, East Longmeadow High School’s aerial drone team, won second place at the Northeast Aerial Drone Championship after competing with 58 other teams across 14 states.
