WILBRAHAM — At the Jan. 6 Select Board meeting, the board members expressed hesitation about the 2025 Wilbraham Hill Climb. Organizers Jeff DeMarey and Edward Cenedella came before the board on Jan. 13 to answer questions and try to allay concerns.
LONGMEADOW — The Longmeadow Select Board discussed the possibility of parting ways with Hampden Country Regional Retirement System at its Jan. 21 meeting. However, doing so would be complicated and expensive, with no guarantee that the town would fare better on the other side.
State Rep. Angelo Puppolo (D-Springfield) is entering his 19th year in the state Legislature, and he said his primary goal for 2025 is the same now as it has ever been: “fight for every penny” for the people of Western Massachusetts.
HOLYOKE — After a groundbreaking event in March 2024, Holyoke’s new middle school is set to open this fall for about 550 students in grades 6-8 and Holyoke Public Schools are calling student artists to help design the new Peck logo.
