WESTFIELD — At the end of an evening of good food, music by The Bards, camaraderie and glamour at the Tekoa Country Club on Feb. 7, 10 contestants competing in the Sons of Erin Colleen Ball took to the runway while Master of Ceremonies Bo Sullivan recounted their accomplishments. The moment then came to name the 2025 colleen and her court.

WESTFIELD — People are still talking about the Science and Engineering Fair hosted in the Westfield High School gym on Jan. 30. It was hard to not be impressed by the enthusiasm of the future scientist, engineers and artists displaying projects and theses they had spent weeks and months and sometimes several years developing. A total of 214 students participated, 66 from Westfield Technical Academy.

WESTFIELD — After a swastika was found drawn on a Westfield Middle School student’s notebook on Tuesday, Jan. 28, Principal Jesse McMillan responded with a letter to the school community. He said earlier in the month, swastikas were also found drawn inside a school-issued device and on an eraser that was found on the floor.
