WEST SPRINGFIELD — Election Day was a busy one in West Springfield as voters were asked to vote for mayor, City Council and School Committee, along with 16 ballot questions.
WESTFIELD — Excitement was in the air during Westfield Public School’s STEM Week, Oct. 20-24, when a lot of special activities were planned for students from prekindergarten to Westfield High School.
WEST SPRINGFIELD — Scott Szaban has had several careers, working in retail, policing and dental hygiene. Now, Szaban is literally starting a new chapter, opening the bookstore, A New Chapter, in West Springfield.
HAMPDEN — In a reminder that one vote can make a difference, an article at Hampden’s Nov. 3 Special Town Meeting on whether to add a local 6% excise tax on short-term rentals and lodging passed with a vote of 35-34.
AGAWAM — The West of the River Chamber of Commerce announced that Food Fest West will take place on Nov. 13 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Crestview Country Club, 281 Shoemaker Lane.
LONGMEADOW — About two dozen people attended an information session on possible changes to the intersections along Bliss Road and Williams Street between Redfern Drive and Bliss Court.
