MONSON — The Monson Public Schools Administration has developed multiple approaches to address the district’s increased chronic absenteeism rates, Superintendent Cheryl Clarke and Director of Curriculum and Instruction Katherine Watts announced at the Feb. 7 School Committee meeting.
MONSON — About 25 residents gathered at the Monson town offices to share their ideas for how to use the former Monson Developmental Center property.
MONSON — Officials from the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance met with state Sen. Ryan Fattman (R-Sutton), state Rep. Brian Ashe (D-Longmeadow) and Monson town officials to begin discussing the reuse of the Monson Developmental Center.
MONSON — At the Jan. 22 tri-board meeting, the Monson Select Board, Finance Committee and School Committee discussed the current budget projections for fiscal year 2024-25 and set financial goals for the coming year.

MONSON — After 30 years coaching girls soccer for Monson Public Schools, Eric Degnan was honored as a 2023 Coach of the Year recipient by the United Soccer Coaches on Jan. 12 in Anaheim, California.
