SOMERS — What better way to kick off the holiday season than by enjoying baked goods and seeking out a special piece of holiday decor? For those ready to get the holiday season started, the Ladies Aid Society of Somersville Congregational Church is hosting its annual Holiday Treasures event on Saturday, Nov. 23.
ENFIELD — The Enfield Senior Center’s Holiday Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be unique gift items handmade by the Senior Center members, a quilt raffle, teacup raffles, a pancake breakfast by the Enfield Lions Club and more. All the money raised from the craft fair goes directly toward the center.
HAMPDEN — A capacity audience at the Hampden Town Meeting on Oct. 13 rejected for a third time an effort to put on the next ballot a question approving a Proposition 2 1/2 override to borrow money to pay for renovations and expansion of the town’s Senior Center.
