While there is no question that Massachusetts is considered one of the bluest states in the nation, voter registrations in Western Massachusetts over the last 20 years indicate that both major parties are losing voters while the number of independent or unenrolled voters continues to increase.
In the never-ending quest to reduce traffic fatalities to zero, state agencies are constantly monitoring crash data throughout the region to identify intersections of concerns and provide mitigation if needed.
SOUTHWICK — The Conservation Commission implemented several measures during its meeting on Aug. 5 in an attempt to reduce the continued overuse of the area for active, not passive, recreation to comply with the conservation restriction placed on the North Pond Conservation Area by the state.
SOUTHWICK — Meeting for the second time since a brawl between visitors and neighbors just outside the North Pond Conservation Area, the Select Board on July 22 discussed forming a task force to address misuse of the property.
