WESTFIELD — Amelia Park Arena General Manager Billy Fellows is looking for more players and sponsors for the Arena’s first Golf Tournament presented by Westfield Gas & Electric to celebrate the nonprofit community facility’s 25th anniversary, on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 1 p.m. at the East Mountain Country Club.

Fellows said there are player spots available for 10 more foursomes, and he is looking to sell it out. Foursomes are $500 with lunch and dinner included, and $125 for individual players.

A dozen businesses are also sponsoring the tournament at different levels, and Fellows said they are looking for more sponsors and for raffle prizes. Sponsors all get included in publicity at varying levels.

Only one available sponsorship remains for a ball sponsor at $2,500, which includes one foursome with dinner, business logos on the sleeve of balls given out and logo on large event banner; and only one remains for dinner sponsor for $2,000, which includes one foursome with dinner, business logo on large event banner, business logo on dinner tables and two tee signs.

Available are Gold level sponsors at $1,200, which includes one foursome with dinner, business logo on event banner and two tee signs; Silver level sponsors at $1,000, including one foursome with dinner, logo on event banner and on one tee sign, and Bronze level for $800, including one foursome with dinner, logo on event banner and one tee sign, Tee sign sponsorships are also available for $100.

Checks and raffle prize donations, which will be gladly accepted, may be sent to Amelia Park Arena 21 S. Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085 or email BFellows@ameliaparkarena.org.

Fellows, who grew up in Westfield, graduated from Westfield High School and Westfield State University and who learned to skate at the Amelia Park Arena its opening year — and has been skating there ever since — said for the arena’s 25th anniversary fundraiser they are trying to incorporate a few new events, and combine celebrations with fundraising.

In that regard, the arena is doing very well.

“Last year we completely sold out our season-long business sponsorships with 55 businesses now advertising here at the rink. I think it is just awesome to see that much community support helping our nonprofit facility. Those funds allow us to continue to keep Amelia Park in tip top shape for the youth and all of our loyal patrons,” Fellows said, adding, “Those sponsorships will be up for renewal in August and we look forward to selling out once again thanks to all of the amazing local businesses.”
