PALMER — The Palmer Historical and Cultural Center will host its 12th annual Christmas Tree and Wreath Festival on Dec. 6 from 4-7:30 p.m., Dec. 7-8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Dec. 14-15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be periodic live music during the weekends, arts and crafts for kids on Saturdays & Sundays in the Villages Room, and a collection box for the Lions Club of Palmer Toy Drive. For each toy donated, you receive one tree festival raffle ticket.

Palmer Historical and Cultural Center President Bob Haveles said, “This is our major fundraiser of the year. It’s always been a popular event for the region. It’s truly a family event and free admission.” He went on to say, “Harmony Hall will be adorned with Christmas decorations and there will be between 25-30 trees all with different themes. The proceeds from this event will be to support PHCC programming, operating expenses and capital improvements.”

The Palmer Historical and Cultural Center is a performance and event venue. Established in 2012, this all-volunteer board and nonprofit organization has provided a multitude of diversified events ranging from lectures, educational workshops, live musical performances, plays and youth entertainment.

The tree & wreath raffle is $5 for 10 tickets or $1 for one ticket. For the Special “Loved One” Tree, it’s $5 each (one time purchase). You can personalize an ornament to be hung on the Loved One Tree that is displayed every year. All sizes of trees are welcomed from large to table top. Whoever is the lucky winner of a particular tree, wreath or gift basket receives everything: the tree, lights, ornaments and whatever miscellaneous items or gift certificates that have been donated. If you do not wish to decorate your donated tree or wreath, you can supply decorations or monetary donation with a theme, and a PHCC member will decorate it for you. If you prefer to donate money, all proceeds will be used to purchase trees and decorations, that will be raffled.

“Please come and enjoy the magic and ambiance of Christmas with the room filled lighted trees, music, children’s crafts and seeing what PHCC has to offer for future programming,” Haveles said. “It is a family and community event that brings smiles to many as they deposit their raffle ticket in one of the boxes or many, in hopes of winning.”

The Palmer Historical & Cultural Center is located at 2072 Main St.
