ENFIELD — On Saturday, Sept. 28, Elemental Studios Yoga and Wellness, located at 2 Pearson Way, had its grand opening.

The event was open house style with free 30-minute yoga classes offered all day, along with a raffle and offered discounted unlimited memberships as well as 10 class packs that day.

Among the vendors at the opening were Pour Things Coffee, Studio By A, Henna by Humi, Old Soul Sanctuary and Cosmic Roots.

Owner/operator Kristen Conley said, “My biggest goal for the event was to get people into the doors and build our community by reaching out to those who have been interested in coming to see this space.”

She continued, “As we’ve grown into this space since we did our soft opening in June, we just want to show the community what we’ve been building here. It was a great turn out. I met all my goals, and it seemed like everyone really enjoyed themselves.”

Elemental Studios Yoga and Wellness is a place where people can come and connect consciously with others who are looking to grow spiritually or grow in any kind of way in their lives; showing that yoga is for everybody. It does not matter how flexible you are, how in shape you are, how old you are or what walks of life you come from. It is a place where everyone is equal, trying to grow and heal together in a conscious community.

“Our goal is to create a safe space for people to come to practice, to meet like-minded people and to grow spiritually,” Conley said. “We really want to reach out to those community outreach spaces where we’re hosting events that we can donate some of the proceeds to local charities, so that we’re making sure we’re giving back to our community as well.”

Elemental Studios has some ideas in place as they move around Thanksgiving, such as hosting a food drive for local nonprofits and food banks. They want to be able to showcase local vendors, makers and merchants, and team up with nonprofits on bigger events in the future to help give back to their community.

“The sweet souls that gather here are so supportive and encouraging,” said Conley. “To watch them have real transformational experiences on their mats and in their lives once they receive the knowledge that they’ve gained is so special.”
