WILBRAHAM — The Wilbraham Peach Blossom Festival Association hosted its annual festival for the eighth year during this past Father’s Day weekend at Wilbraham and Monson Academy.
Unlike prior years, the festival took place over two days with attractions on Friday and Saturday. The event included seven bands with live music, a carnival area with $1 games for kids, a baking competition, a peach pie-eating contest, five food trucks, a craft fair with more than 100 local vendors, a raffle of items donated by crafters and an area with displays from local organizations.
The association hosts the festival each year with the goal of making the event affordable and open to the community, Wilbraham Peach Blossom Festival Association President Jennifer Bowell told Reminder Publishing. She explained that the festival is designed to be simple and emphasized its “community feel.”
Although the festival was canceled due to rain last year, the association has been hosting it since 2017, Bowell said. She noted that the Peach Blossom Festival was different from the Wilbraham Peach Festival that a different organization used to host years prior.
