CHICOPEE — Hot Head Burritos continued its expansion in New England with the opening of a new restaurant at 105 Center St. in Chicopee on Aug. 13. The restaurant marks the brand’s second location in Massachusetts and its 88th systemwide.
The restaurant features customizable and/or made-to-order burritos, bowls, tacos and nachos, with signature sauces ranging from Mild to Wild.
“So, if you’re like me and you don’t want to make a whole lot of decisions about your food, you can just pick a craft recipe off the menu and enjoy,” Chicopee Hot Head Burritos Owner Gregg Yvon stated. “If you’re someone who’s a little more particular, well, you can pick and choose whatever you like. We’re more than happy to custom make anything.”
Guests can build meals from more than 40 fresh ingredients and 16 signature sauces, creating thousands of flavor combinations tailored to their preferences, according to Yvon. The menu also includes gluten-free, vegetarian, keto, paleo and allergy-friendly options.
“If I can get you through the doors, you’ll be a customer forever,” Yvon stated. “If you’ve never had Hot Head Burritos before, you’re in for a treat. It really is a phenomenal product. We make everything fresh every day.”
Yvon also said that the name is a little misleading because, while you could make your product as spicy as you like, the majority of the menu is tamer in terms of heat level.
The new restaurant is the third Hot Head Burritos restaurant owned and operated by N. E. Pat’s Franchise Investment Partners, Inc., managed by Gregg, Tom and Wayne Yvon.

Hot Head Burritos launched in Dayton, Ohio, in 2007 and has since expanded to more than 85 locations across eight states.
Yvon said business has been going great since opening. “People are excited,” he stated. “We’re excited to see what the long term holds for us, but it’s an excellent product. I’ve been doing this 40 years … easily the best product I’ve sold.”
In celebration of the new location, the city of Chicopee and the mayor’s office hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 24 with Mayor John Vieau and other community members.
Yvon said that over the 40 years he has been in business, it was the first time he has had the public support of the city.
State Rep. Shirley Arriaga was at the ribbon-cutting, along with a representative from state Sen. Adam Gomez’s office.
“It was kind of cool, actually. The mayor’s office was terrific, but also state reps. were there; state senator’s office came, so that was really nice.” Yvon said.
