SOUTHWICK – Roland “Ron” G. Lamoureux, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 1, 2025, in Baystate Medical Center with his wife by his side. He was born in Leeds MA on November 7, 1947, to the late Roland and Gladys (Gilbert) Lamoureux. He attended Northampton High School and graduated in 1966. He then went to UMass and graduated with an associate’s degree.

After college he enlisted in the United States Army serving in Vietnam in the A Sau Valley and the battle of Hamburger Hill. He didn’t let the horrors of war ruin his joy in life. He went on to work for many years as regional sales manager of building materials and retired in 2012 from Kal Fate Corporation. Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoyed hiking in the desert southwest with his wife and soulmate, Cindy. Ron was also an expert shot and enjoyed target shooting with his buddy Bill. He fought various health problems with great determination.

To cherish Ron’s memory, he leaves his beloved wife of 33 years Cynthia (Cindy) (Banas) Lamoureux. He also leaves his son Corey Lamoureux and daughter Jennifer Ryan. He also leaves his granddaughter Darby Ryan. Ron will be missed by his dog Callie, cats Teddy and Ivy.

Ron’s family would like to thank the Southwick Fire Department Paramedics and Baystate Medical Center Nurses in the Kidney Unit for their excellent care.

The calling hours for Ron will be on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 12-3 p.m. in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, Westfield. Military honors will follow at 3 p.m. Donations in Ron’s name may be made to Best Friends Animal Society. www.firtionadams.com
