WESTFIELD — On Saturday, June 14, No Kings Westfield joined movements in the region and across the country in protests. According to organizers, the Westfield demonstration was one of roughly 1,800 nationwide, in opposition of President Donald Trump’s actions and policies as well as the decision to conduct a military parade in Washington, D.C., on Flag Day. The official purpose of the parade was to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, however, protest organizers suggested the president has subverted the occasion as an opportunity to celebrate his 79th birthday.
